Psalm 35:27 (NKJV) “Let them shout for joy and be glad, Who favor my righteous cause; And let them say continually, “Let the LORD be magnified, Who has pleasure in the prosperity of His servant.”
One of the things that pleases God, is the prosperity of the righteous. Your prosperity brings glory to God. It is not the Father’s delight, and it is never His will for any of His children to be poor. There are no biological parents who will desire for their children to be poor, and live in lack. The Bible compares our biological parents with our Heavenly Father, says, “If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!”
Our heavenly Father is a generous God, and He delights in giving good gifts to His children. Poverty is not a gift, at least not from God, maybe from the devil. You can’t find it anywhere in the scriptures, where poverty is identified as somebody’s gift. Jesus further revealed in the gospel that, “it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.”
God wants to see you prosper and flourish in whatever you engage in, that is what gives Him pleasure. But, the fact that the Father has pleasure in the prosperity of His people, does not mean all God’s people will be prosperous. You and I know God wants all men to be saved, but many are still captive to sin and Satan. Your prosperity gives God pleasure, and He is ready and willing to see that happen in your life. But you must believe Him, and be ready to do your part, to make it a reality.
