Flow With God’s Timing

Devotional Thought

Believers need to learn to flow with God’s timing for fulfillment. Some promises are reserved for specific seasons of your life. No matter how much you pray and fast, the promise will remain unfulfilled until those seasons arrive. It is expedient for you to understand this fact and flow with God’s schedule.

God’s schedule is not affected by people’s reactions, sentiments, fasting, or prayers. Remember that the Bible states that Jesus would baptize people with the Holy Spirit and fire, but He never attempted to do so during His earthly mission. This was due to Jesus’ understanding of God’s timing for His life and flowing with God’s timetable for the promise.

The promise will be fulfilled in the season of exaltation, according to God’s plan. However, the season of crucifixion, death, resurrection, and ascension precedes exaltation. This implies, that before this promise would be fulfilled, Jesus must be crucified, die, rise, ascend into heaven, and be elevated to God’s right hand.

When Jesus was exalted, He didn’t need to struggle to receive the promise from the Father. The Bible says, “Therefore being exalted to the right hand of God and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, He poured out this which you now see and hear.”

Whenever the season of fulfillment arrives, God’s faithfulness takes effect instantly for performance. When the time comes to fulfill God’s promise, a simple prayer gets a rapid response. Because it is the season for that promise, He has already answered before you finish asking. This year, you will begin to see specific promises coming to fulfillment in your life because this is the season, in Jesus’ name.
