Prayer Points for January 2024

Zechariah 2:4-5 (KJV) “And said unto him, Run, speak to this young man, saying, Jerusalem shall be inhabited as towns without walls for the multitude of men and cattle therein: For I, saith the LORD, will be unto her a wall of fire round about, and will be the glory in the midst of her.”

The Wall of Fire:

The Lord promised to be a wall of fire around Jerusalem. This suggests a wall not made with bricks and blocks but with fire. It is not just made with fire, but a devouring fire, because God is a devouring fire (Deuteronomy 4:24; 9:3; Hebrews 12:29). God intends to guard against any invading armies coming against Jerusalem and to prevent foreign oppressors from overrunning His people (Zechariah 9:8). God is not only willing to do it for Jerusalem, but He is much more willing to do it for the church, and individual believers in Christ. What He did for one, He will do it for all, because He is not a partial God.

When God is the wall of fire around your family, finances, marriage, ministry, city, and country, which devil dare cross the devouring fire? In 2024, we are not relying on the walls of bricks and blocks but the wall of fire. Let the Lord, the devouring fire, be the wall around all that is connected to us in January and throughout the new year, in Jesus’ name. Based on this information, we are approaching God and committing January and the whole of 2024 to His hands, asking Him to be the wall of fire around us, in Jesus’ name.

Prayer Points I

1. Let us appreciate the Lord for January 2023, for His hand of fulfilment that prevailed in our lives, marriages, ministries, businesses, careers, cities, and countries, in Jesus’ name.
2. Let us begin to commit January 2024 into the hands of the Lord, that the Lord shall assume His rightful position as the wall of fire around our lives, families, businesses, careers, cities and countries, in Jesus’ name (Zechariah 2:4-5).
3. We declare and prophesy, that in 2024 the Lord our God shall be unto us and our families, a wall of fire round about, and will be the glory in the midst of us, in Jesus’ name (Zechariah 2:4-5)
4. Father, we declare and prophesy, that from January till the end of 2024, the Lord our God shall go before us, as a consuming fire. He shall destroy the wicked, and He shall bring them down before our faces, and we shall drive them out of our lives, families, offices, properties, ministries, businesses, careers, industries, cities, and countries, and we shall destroy them quickly, in Jesus’ name (Deuteronomy 9:3)
5. Father, we declare and prophesy by the power of the covenant that in 2024, no graven images or anything forbidden by the Lord shall survive the presence of the wall of consuming fire surrounding our lives and families, in Jesus’ name (Deuteronomy 4:23-24)
6. Father, we declare and prophesy that in 2024, the kingdom we have received cannot be moved, and we shall serve the Lord acceptably with reverence and godly fear with His manifold grace upon our lives, because we are surrounded by the wall of consuming fire, in Jesus’ name (Hebrews 12:28-29)

Prayer Points II

1. Father, we declare and prophesy, that 2024 shall be a peaceful year for us and our families. By the presence of the wall of fire all around us, war shall cease even to the end of the earth, weapons of war shall be broken, cut in sunder, and burned with fire, in Jesus’ name (Psalms 46:9-11)
2. Father, we declare and prophesy that throughout 2024, men and women shall witness Your marvellous works and acknowledge Your wall of fire around our lives, families and businesses; for You shall be our God forever and our guide to the end, in Jesus’ name (Psalms 48:12-14)
3. We declare and prophesy that throughout 2024, the Lord our God shall contend by fire and devour the great deep, and eat up the wicked in their wickedness, in the name of Jesus Christ (Amos 7:4)
4. We declare and prophesy that throughout 2024, our moral filth shall be washed away, and our iniquities shall be purged out with the spirit of judgement and the spirit of fire, in Jesus’ name (Isaiah 4:4)
5. Father, we declare and prophesy that throughout 2024, Your cloud shall remain upon our dwelling places and our assemblies by day and Your smoke and the shining of a flaming fire by night, and You shall be our defence, in Jesus’ name (Isaiah 4:5)
6. Father, we declare and prophesy that throughout 2024, Your wall of fire shall render the fire of the wicked useless and ineffective in their wickedness against us, in the name of Jesus Christ (Daniel 3:25-26).
