Jeremiah 31:3 (NKJV) “The LORD has appeared of old to me, [saying]: “Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love; Therefore, with lovingkindness, I have drawn you.”
The call to radical intimacy invites us to a deeper, more intimate relationship with God. It’s an invitation to move beyond the superficial and into the depths of His love, to experience a closeness that is transformative and life-changing. It’s an invitation that is extended to every believer, regardless of our past, our struggles, or our shortcomings.
In Jeremiah 31:3, the Lord reminds us, that He has loved us with an everlasting love. This love is not fleeting or conditional; it is a love that endures forever. It’s this love that draws us closer to Him. His lovingkindness is what compels us to seek Him, to know Him, and to love Him more deeply.
The call to radical intimacy requires more than just a surface-level understanding of God’s love. It requires a willingness to surrender ourselves fully to Him, to trust Him completely with every aspect of our lives. It requires a willingness to lay down our own desires, our own plans, and our own agenda to follow Him wholeheartedly.
As we respond to this call to radical intimacy, we will experience the fullness of God’s love in ways we never thought possible. We will discover the joy of knowing Him intimately, the peace of resting in His presence, and the power of living in obedience to His will.
Today, let us respond to the call to radical intimacy, with a heart that is open and receptive to all that God has for us. Let us trust in His love, His goodness, and His faithfulness, and let us follow Him wherever He leads us. For in Him, we will find the truest and deepest expression of love, that we could ever imagine.
