God is the great rewarder of men. Our God is not an exploiter of men; He is a rewarder of men. He rewards men, for doing the right and the godly things. The Lord rewards publicly what we do for others privately. It is stated in the scripture that, He is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love.
Your Father rewards every act of honour and generosity exhibited towards His name in ministering to the saints. Not even a cup of water, given to any of His people or anyone for that matter, goes unrewarded by the Lord. He rewards everyone, that diligently seeks Him.
It is from this conviction, that Paul wrote to the Galatians church, encouraging them not to become weary in doing good. The Bible says, “And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart”. (Galatians 6:9 NKJV)
When the Spirit of God came upon Azariah, the son of Oded, he went to King Asa, and to the tribes of Judah and Benjamin, and declared to them, the same truth that Paul shared with the Galatians church, but in a different way.
Azariah declared, “But you, be strong and do not let your hands be weak, for your work shall be rewarded.” (2 Chronicles 15:7 NKJV)
Rewarding men is not an attitude that God just picked up in the New Testament, it has always been God’s ways of dealing with men, from the beginning. God is the same yesterday, today and forevermore. He was a rewarder yesterday; He is a rewarder today, and He remains a rewarder forevermore.
Don’t let your hand become weak in giving to the work of God, to the men of God, the people of God, and to the poor. You are the one the Lord is speaking to; your work shall be rewarded, in Jesus’ name. Those who did not see sense in what you are doing, will soon have a change of mind, when your testimonies begin to roll in.
What should be our attitude knowing that our labour never goes unrewarded by the Lord?
Father, open the heavens over the lives, and the businesses of all your people, who have consistently contributed to the expansion of Your work, all over the world; and let there be a turnaround, in the name of Jesus Christ.
Do you find yourself sometimes wearied, with no strength to continue your journey?
