Thinking God’s way is significant to experiencing God’s blessing, and you cannot maintain God’s blessing without alignment with God’s thinking. This truth is clearly depicted, in Adam and Eve’s experience in the Garden.

After God had finished creating everything, He brought all the animals to Adam to see what name he would give them. It was like God testing, to see the quality of Adam’s thinking if it was up to His standard.

Adam gave to all animals, the exact names God would have given them Himself. He demonstrated God’s mind regarding all the animals; God would have corrected him if he was wrong.  So, Adam functioned and manifested God’s thoughts in the Garden.

As long as Adam keeps thinking God’s way, he enjoys God’s garden, until he buys into the devil’s lies. God gave Adam and Eve a chance to repent, but they shifted the blame to the serpent, rather than repenting.

You know, repentance is more than expressing regret about your action, it is about changing your mind about an issue. God expected Adam to drop Satan’s lies, and return to His way of thinking, but he did not.

They would have retained the Garden if they had repented. Eating the forbidden fruit was not the reason they lost the garden, because God did not say, the day you eat it “you shall surely lose the garden, He says, “you shall surely die”. Adam and Eve lost the Garden because they exchanged God’s way of thinking for the devil’s lies.

The devil has not stopped selling his lies and deceptions, and he has no plan of relenting in his mission of attacking people’s minds, but as people of God, we must guard our minds with all diligence.

No matter the intensity of the deception, and the machination of the enemy being propelled through the events around us, we must keep our minds stayed on the word of God.
