David is a very prayerful person; he knows what transpires in the place of prayer. He is a man, who does not joke with prayer; he has the knowledge of the benefits of prayer. A prayerful person is someone, who always depends on God, for direction. David did not go to any battle, without first consulting with God, that is why he never loses any battle. He prays three times in a day, evening, morning and noon.“Evening and morning and at noon I will pray, and cry aloud, and He shall hear my voice.” (Psalms 55:17). If you do what David did, you can have David’s kind of result. Here is seven wonderful things that transpire in the place of prayer.
“Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.” Hebrews 4:16
“Give us help from trouble, for the help of man is useless.” Psalms 60:11
“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you” Jeremiah 29:11
‘Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.’ Jeremiah.33:3
“Have you not known? Have you not heard? The everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, neither faints nor is weary. His understanding is unsearchable. He gives power to the weak, And to those who have no might He increases strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, And the young men shall utterly fall, But those who wait on the LORD Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.” Isaiah 40:28-31
“Therefore David inquired of the LORD, and He said, “You shall not go up; circle around behind them, and come upon them in front of the mulberry trees. “And it shall be, when you hear the sound of marching in the tops of the mulberry trees, then you shall advance quickly. For then the LORD will go out before you to strike the camp of the Philistines.” And David did so, as the LORD commanded him; and he drove back the Philistines from Geba as far as Gezer ” 2 Samuel 5:23-25
1 ¶ It happened after this that David inquired of the LORD, saying, “Shall I go up to any of the cities of Judah?” And the LORD said to him, “Go up.” David said, “Where shall I go up?” And He said, “To Hebron.” 2 Samuel2:1
“Then the men of Judah came, and there they anointed David king over the house of Judah. And they told David, saying, “The men of Jabesh Gilead were the ones who buried Saul.” 2 Samuel2:4
“Therefore all the elders of Israel came to the king at Hebron, and King David made a covenant with them at Hebron before the LORD. And they anointed David king over Israel” 2 Samuel 5:3
Then David said, “Will the men of Keilah deliver me and my men into the hand of Saul?” And the LORD said, “They will deliver you.” 1Samuel 23:12
