1Peter 1:13 (KJV) Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;
There is always a measure of grace released at the instant of the revelation of Christ. Divine revelation never leaves you, the same way it meets you. Every recipient of revelation enjoys an upgrade of grace. When revelation comes, it does not only inform you, it also impacts your life, with some level of grace. The bible says, “Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;” Grace shall be brought to you, at the revelation of Jesus Christ.
I know and believe, there is the ultimate appearing of Jesus Christ, at His return, when every eye shall see Him. But even at this present time, there is a sense, in which Jesus Christ is revealing Himself, to individual believer through His word.
We have a record of God’s dealing with Samuel, in the scriptures. It is written, “And the LORD appeared again in Shiloh: for the LORD revealed himself to Samuel in Shiloh by the word of the LORD.” Each time the word of God opens to you, you catch a revelation of Jesus Christ afresh. Hidden behind every word of the scripture, are the voice and the person of His majesty.
However, the revelation of His person and His voice do not come by a casual reading of the bible, it comes by a diligent search and study of the word of God. And when Christ is shown to you, grace is automatically poured on you. Don’t forget, grace is multiplied, through the knowledge of Christ Jesus.
This understanding keeps David searching and studying the word, all through the night. Grace is at the root of greatness in the kingdom, great men are grace-made. May Christ reveal Himself to you again, and may His grace be poured afresh on you, in Jesus’ name.
How important is the study of the word of God in our journey of faith?
