Luke 12:24 (NKJV) “Consider the ravens, for they neither sow nor reap, which have neither storehouse nor barn; and God feeds them. Of how much more value are you than the birds?”
Anxiety is a phenomenon that is common to man. It’s a gap, between a man’s desire to be in control and the reality of uncontrollable circumstances that surround him. Jesus in His message to His disciples, revealed God’s mind about worrying.
God doesn’t want His children, to engage in anxieties over anything that has to do with their lives and future. Jesus called His disciples’ attention, to how God takes care of the birds, and the grass, to establish the point.
Since God does it for plants and animals, He will do it for His children, because they are more valuable to Him. The Bible says, “Consider the ravens, for they neither sow nor reap, which have neither storehouse nor barn; and God feeds them. Of how much more value are you than the birds?”
Here is the truth, anxieties begin, from the point a man loses touch with his value, in God’s sight. Worrying will not be an option, when you remember your worth in God’s sight, no matter what life throws at you. Jesus says, you are more valuable in the sight of your Father in heaven. The Father is willing to do more for you, than He does for the birds and the grass.
Anytime you are tempted to worry, remind yourself of your value, in the sight of God. Don’t let your circumstances make you assume, a less valuable stand, in the sight of your Father. Additionally, worries and anxieties are pointers, to a loss of confidence and faith in God the Father. Jesus says, “If then God so clothes the grass, which today is in the field and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, how much more will He clothe you, O you of little faith?”
Worries and anxieties reveal a shift of your confidence and faith, from God your Father. Once you doubt your value in His sight, you will begin to doubt His ability, to come through for you.
How do you manage your moment of anxiety?
Father, forgive me for doubting You, and worrying about my circumstances, I return to faith, in the name of Jesus.
