I will Rebuke the Devourer
Malachi 3:11 (KJV) “And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the LORD of hosts.”
Anything that destroys your harvest destroys your joy. A wise farmer does not only plan and sow, towards reaping a good harvest he also puts in place the plan, to secure his harvest from destruction. You need to know that there are harvest destroyers, forces that won’t let you enjoy the fruit of your labour, and power assigned to waste your harvest.
The Bible calls them devourer; they are the forces behind miscarriage of project, abortion of destiny, and destruction of harvest. Sometimes, when a man ought to be enjoying his harvest, they raised up unexpected challenges that feed and finish the harvest. You must put them into consideration when you are sowing your seed. I declare that your harvest is exempted from destruction, in the name of Jesus.
One of the major strategies of dealing with the harvest destroyers is the strategy of tithing. Tithing is the practice of honouring the God of the harvest, with the tenth of your harvest. You secure God’s backing by honouring Him, with the tenth of everything that comes in to your hand.
Tithing sets God against the devourer of your harvest. The Bible says, “Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house… And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the LORD of hosts.” Sowing without tithing, leaves your harvest unsecured, but tithing makes your harvest untouchable for the destroyers.
Let’s Talk About It.
With what other strategies can we secure our harvest against the devourer?
Father, arise against every devourer in my life, in Jesus’ name.
