Devotional Thought

When Jesus Christ came down from the mountain, a leper approached him, seeking to be healed.  He was so convinced of Jesus’ ability to heal and cleanse him, but he doubted the Lord’s willingness to heal him.

He said, “Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean.” Many of us are like this man, when we bring our case before God in prayer, we are so sure God can do it, but we are not certain God will do it. What could make us doubt His willingness, when we are so confident of His ability?

When we are Ignorant of His will, we will definitely doubt His willingness. The will of God, guarantees His willingness to perform. The Bible says, “And we can be confident that He will listen to us, whenever we ask Him for anything, in line with His will”.

The leper knows that God can do it, but he was not sure if He was willing. The knowledge of His will is what enhances confidence, in the place of asking. The word of God is the written will of God.

To know the will of God on any issue, sit down with the word, and make a thorough search for it, and the Holy Spirit will guide you to the truth. When the leper approached the Lord, he discovered that God is not only able to do it; God is willing to do it.

Jesus said to him, “I am willing be made clean.” God is able and willing to heal you and your household, even right now. I declare every sickness crushed, and every disease cured, in the name of Jesus Christ the Son of the living God. I declare your household free of sickness and diseases, receive your healing right, in Jesus’ name.
