This is the October 2024 Prayer Newsletter. October is declared as our month of Uncommon Salvation. We have prepared the prayer points specifically for this month. We encourage you to rise by midnight to make some declarations over October. We look forward to hearing your testimonies of Uncommon Salvation, in the name of Jesus Christ. [2 Corinthians 6:2 NKJV] 2 For He says: “In an acceptable time I have heard you, And in the day of salvation I have helped you.” Behold, now [is] the accepted time; behold, now [is] the day of salvation.
The Bible speaks about “The day of salvation,” referring to the day when God’s offer of salvation is available. The day started with Christ’s finished work and continues until His second coming, when the door of salvation will close to all unsaved people.
However, salvation extends beyond the redemption of sinners, to God’s intervention for the saints. When God answers your prayers for healing, He saves you from sickness. The scripture says, “… the prayer of faith shall save the sick…” [James 5:15]
Thus the mark of the day of salvation for a sinner is the redemption of his soul, while for the saint, it may be the healing of his body or the prosperity of his soul. Your soul is already saved as a believer, but more blessings of salvation are still available and accessible by faith.
A believer’s expectation should therefore be different from an unbeliever’s expectation regarding the day of salvation. What should you expect? Paul’s statement in 2 Corinthians 6:2 gives us a clue. For He says: “In an acceptable time I have heard you, And in the day of salvation I have helped you.” God helps His people in the day of salvation. Any day God does for you what you cannot do for yourself is the day of salvation.
This month has been declared as our season of uncommon salvation, so expect God to come through for you in every area where help is needed. He is the very present help in time of need.
