[Dan 6:3 KJV] Then this Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes, because an excellent spirit [was] in him; and the king thought to set him over the whole realm.

An Excellent Spirit:

The phrase “an excellent spirit” highlights the transformative power of the Holy Spirit in imparting extraordinary character, wisdom, and abilities to believers, setting them apart for divine purposes. In Daniel’s life, this manifestation was evident through his profound wisdom, insight, and unwavering integrity. These qualities earned him favor and elevated him to positions of influence, even in a foreign land.

In Daniel 5:12, the Queen commended Daniel as possessing not only an excellent spirit, but also knowledge, understanding, and the rare ability to interpret dreams and solve enigmas. These were not merely natural talents, but divine endowments, empowering him to navigate complex situations with clarity, precision, and purpose. His life exemplifies how God equips His people to shine in the midst of challenges and bring glory to His name. The excellent spirit in Daniel did more than distinguish him above his peers, it positioned him as a vessel for God’s purposes. Through this divine empowerment, Daniel did not only succeed personally, but also influenced the course of history, demonstrating that the Holy Spirit’s work extends beyond spiritual matters to impact leadership, character, and practical decision-making.

This pattern is not unique to Daniel. We see similar manifestations in Joseph, who was endowed with divine wisdom to manage Egypt’s seven years of abundance and famine, preserving nations and fulfilling God’s purposes. These stories remind us that the Holy Spirit empowers His people to excel in every sphere of life, reflecting God’s wisdom and integrity to a watching world.

As we look towards April 2025, let us seek a fresh outpouring of the excellent Spirit upon our lives. May the Holy Spirit empower us with extraordinary character, wisdom, and ability to reflect His glory, fulfill His purpose, and impact

Prayer Points I

1. Let us appreciate the Lord for April 2024, for the wall of saving health that surrounded us and members of our family all through the month, in the name of Jesus Christ [Isaiah 26:1 JUB].
2. Let us begin to commit April 2025 into the hands of the Lord, asking for a fresh outpouring of the excellent Spirit upon our lives, our spouses and children, in the name of Jesus Christ [Acts 2:17 NKJV].
3. Father, we declare and prophesy that all through 2025, we shall be preferred above presidents, princes, and experts in our field, industry, nation, by the working of Your excellent Spirit upon our lives, establishing us as God’s ambassador wherever we find ourselves, in Jesus’ name [Daniel 6:3]
4. Father, we declare and prophesy that throughout 2025, the Excellent Spirit of God shall abide upon and within us, manifesting in knowledge and understanding, interpreting dreams and divine signals, solving problems and decoding systems, thereby attracting the world’s attention to God, as the only living God, in the name of Jesus Christ [Daniel 5:12]

Prayer Point II

1. Father, we declare and prophesy that all through 2025, individuals, institutions, organizations, and nations shall hear and acknowledge the working of Your excellent Spirit within us, as they witness Your light, understanding and excellent wisdom displayed in the discharge and delivery of our duties and assignments, in Jesus’ name. [Dan 5:14 NKJV]
2. Father, we declare and prophesy that all through 2025, our head shall not refuse, nor lack for Your excellent oil. It shall be fresh and flowing, empowering us to live above evil thing, reject wicked works, and men who work iniquity, in the name of Jesus Christ [Psalms 141:4-5 NKJV].
3. Father, we declare and prophesy that all through 2025 by the power of an excellent Spirit we shall speak excellent things, and from the opening of our lips shall flow right things, in the name of Jesus Christ. We declare and prophesy, that our mouth will speak truth, and wickedness and abomination shall be far from our lips, in Jesus’ name, [Proverbs 8:6-8 NKJV]
4. Father, we declare and prophesy that all through 2025, by the excellent wisdom of the Spirit of the living God, we shall excel at honesty and in speaking the truth, bringing truthful report to institutions, organizations and nations where we serve, thereby exalting righteousness in the fear of the Lord, in the name of Jesus Christ (Proverbs, 22:20-21 NKJV)

Prayer Points III

1. Father, we declare and prophesy, that by the operation of an excellent Spirit all through 2025, we shall be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of our labor, the outcome of our lives, and the work of our hands shall be excellent and appealing to individuals, institutions, organizations and nations, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ [Isaiah 4:2]
2. Father, we declare and prophesy that all through 2025, by the influence and  the power of Your excellent Spirit, our love shall continually abound more and more in knowledge and all discernment, and we shall approve the things that are excellent, and we shall be sincere without offense till the day of Christ, in Jesus’ name, [Philippians 1:9-10 NKJV]
3. Father, we declare and prophesy all through 2025, by the leading of Your excellent Spirit, we shall not walk in the path of Cain, but we shall excel in the path of Abel, offering a more excellent service and sacrifice, touching Your heart with our treasure, talent, and time, in the name of Jesus Christ (Hebrew 11:4)
4. Father, we declare and prophesy that all through 2025, individuals, institutions, organizations and nations shall acknowledge and accept the Lord Jesus Christ as the Lord, as they witness a glorious display and manifestation of an excellent Spirit through our lives, businesses, ministries and career, in the name of Jesus Christ (Genesis 41:38)
