Prayer Points for January 2025

[Genesis 1:2 NKJV] ”And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.”

The Spirit of God:

At creation, the Holy Spirit is introduced as the Spirit of God, the principal agent in bringing order and beauty out of chaos. Just as the Son and the Father were present and active, so was the Holy Spirit, working in perfect unity to bring forth all that exists. The Holy Spirit’s role in creation reveals His power to transform formlessness, emptiness, and darkness into life, order, and light.

The first act in creation began with the Holy Spirit moving upon the waters, preparing the ground for God’s spoken Word to bring forth creation. Wherever there is emptiness, chaos, or darkness whether in our lives, families, ministries, or careers it is, the Holy Spirit who begins the work of transformation. His presence makes way for God’s Word to be spoken with power, bringing change and renewal.

In Genesis, God’s Word and the Spirit worked together to create. This divine pattern remains true today: when we allow the Holy Spirit to move in our lives, He empowers our words, declarations, and decrees. As Job 22:28 says, “You will also declare a thing, and it will be established for you.” With the Spirit’s involvement, we can speak to the formless, empty, or dark areas of our lives and expect transformation.

As we look towards January 2025, we seek a fresh outpouring of the Spirit of the Lord upon our lives. Let Him equip us with the creative ability and the power to create, birth and produce after the order of God our Father. May we walk in total submission to the ministry of the Spirit of God, in the name of Jesus Christ. 

Prayer Points I

1. Let us appreciate the Lord for January 2024, for the wall of fire that surrounded us and members of our family all through the month, in the name of Jesus Christ [Zachariah 2:4-5 KJV].
2. Let us begin to commit January 2025 into the hands of the Lord, asking for a fresh outpouring of the Spirit of God upon our lives, our spouses and children, in the name of Jesus Christ [Acts 2:17].
3. Father, we declare and prophesy, that every emptiness, chaos and darkness awaiting our arrival in January 2025 is overpowered, overcome, and overthrown by the ministry of the Spirit of God, in the name of Jesus Christ [Genesis 1:1-2 NKJV]
4. Father, we declare and prophesy light, order, life and beauty, where there is emptiness, chaos and darkness in 2025. We declare and prophesy supernatural empowerment through the fresh outpouring of the Spirit of God, to live and excel above confusion, oppression, and destruction, in the name of Jesus Christ [Genesis 1:1-2 NKJV]

Prayer Point II

1. Father, we declare and prophesy that in 2025, we shall stand tall, stand well and standout among others, as solution providers, with the creative ability of the Spirit of God, in the name of Jesus Christ. We declare and prophesy, that our wisdom, insight, difference, and contribution shall be acknowledged and rewarded, securing for us promotion, and a place of honor, in the name of Jesus Christ [Genesis 41:37-40 TPT]
2. Father, we declare and prophesy, that in 2025 we shall walk in the fullness of the Spirit of God in wisdom, understanding, knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship to design, produce, and offer the best of what is available in our field and industry, giving us market advantage, in the name of Jesus Christ [Exodus 31:3-5 NKJV]. 
3. Father, we declare and prophesy, that in 2025 any wicked priest, or witchcraft prophet, assigned, employed, paid and commissioned against us shall come under the strong influence of the Spirit of God, turning their curses into blessings, and their evil into good in our lives, in Jesus’ name [Numbers 24:1-9 NKJV]
4. Father, we declare and prophesy that in 2025, by the leading of the Spirit of God, we shall be at the right place, with the right people at the right time, thereby experiencing and enjoying the move of God for the season, in Jesus’ name. [1 Samuel 10:10-11 Romans 8:14 NKJV]

Prayer Points III

1. Father, we declare and prophesy that in 2025, through the ministry of the Spirit of God, we shall be sensitive to the move of God in our cities, and nations. We shall be moved by what moves You, passionate with You passion, enforcing and embracing Your will for the year, in Jesus’ name [1 Samuel 11:6-7 NKJV]
2. Father, we declare and prophesy that in 2025, by the ministry of the Spirit of God, we shall walk in light, understanding, and an excellent wisdom. We shall excel in providing solutions to impossible problems, in our field, industry, cities and nations, in the name of Jesus Christ [Daniel 5:14,16 TPT]
3. Father, we declare and prophesy, that all through the year 2025, we shall walk, live and conduct ourselves in a manner that pleases You by the power of the Spirit of God that dwells within us, in the name of Jesus Christ. [Romans 8:8-9 NKJV]
4. Father, we declare and prophesy that all through 2025, we shall walk in the full manifestation of our identity and authority in You, living, obeying, and following the leading of the Spirit of God, in the name of Jesus Christ [Romans 8:14 NKJV]
