You Sold Me, But God Sent Me
Today I am sharing with you on the topic, You sold me , but God sent me from the story of Joseph found in Genesis 45:5 (KJV) “Now therefore be not grieved, nor angry with yourselves, that ye sold me hither: for God did send me before you to preserve life.”
Joseph’s dream eventually came to pass, just as it was revealed to him. Joseph’s sheaf stood upright, and his brothers’ sheaves stood all around, and bowed down, to his sheaf. When a dream is from God, it is a matter of time, it shall come to pass. The best any man can do for a godly dream is to support it. Because, whether you fight against it, or rise to support it, it will still come to pass.
A dream from God carries the characteristic of God, it is unstoppable, unquestionable, and it has within it, an inherent ability for fulfilment. When Joseph revealed himself, to his brothers, they were ashamed of themselves. But Joseph said, “Now, therefore, be not grieved, nor angry with yourselves, that ye sold me hither: for God did send me, before you, to preserve life.”
They sold him, but God sent him. Everyone will pray for God to send him, but I doubt if there is anyone that prays, to be sold. The sending part is an exciting one, but the selling part is heartbreaking. What is heartbreaking is that in the selling they undervalued him. They sold him for a slave price when God is sending him, to take over the “rulership” of Egypt. Don’t forget, God the Father sent His only Son- Jesus to the cross, but Judas sold Him, for thirty pieces of silver ($600).
Judas sold Jesus, for a criminal price, when God sent Him, as a Saviour of the world. Men will always undervalue your worth because they don’t know, what God has invested in you. When you hear the price placed on you by men, you may lose confidence, in your assignment. But you need to know that the value placed on you, by the Sender is higher than the price placed on you, by men. Please don’t bother about those who are selling you, keep your attention on the Sender. Your true worth will manifest when your dream is realized.
Let’s Talk About It
What will you do when people rise against your dream?
Father, I refuse to be distracted by people’s opinion of me, I celebrate Your wonderful thought, towards me, in Jesus’ name.
