Prayer Points for August 2024

Jeremiah 15:20-21 (NIV) “I will make you a wall to this people, a fortified wall of bronze; they will fight against you but will not overcome you, for I am with you to rescue and save you,” declares the LORD. 21. “I will save you from the hands of the wicked and deliver you from the grasp of the cruel.”

The Wall of Defence:

The wall of defence shields us against the enemy’s attack. It is the wall that guarantees our victory over the enemies. This wall represents God’s presence and backing in a believer’s life. The Lord told Jeremiah, “I will make you a wall to this people, a fortified wall of bronze; they will fight against you but will not overcome you, for I am with you to rescue and save you,” declares the LORD (Jeremiah 15:20). This is not just for Jeremiah; it is for every child of God. The Lord has a wall of defence for all His children, He is mindful of our safety and victory in the face of warfare and attacks.

This wall is called a fortified wall of bronze, suggesting an impenetrable wall. When the Lord is your wall of defence, no devil can penetrate. You remember, as long as God’s hedge of protection was around Job, the devil could not touch him, or anything that belonged to him.

Spiritual walls are not products of human efforts; they are not something we build by ourselves; they are the handiwork of God. He determines the material, the height, and the strength of the wall. He told Jeremiah, “Today I have made you a fortified city, an iron pillar and a bronze wall to stand against the whole land–against the kings of Judah, its officials, its priests and the people of the land. They will fight against you but will not overcome you, for I am with you and will rescue you,” declares the LORD. (Jeremiah 1:18-19).

When you see a man standing undefeated, unaffected by several attacks from nations and kings, the secret is the wall of defence. They may fight against you, but they will not overcome you, because there is a wall of defence around you, by the presence of the Lord Almighty. We don’t want to enter 2024 without securing God’s wall of defence around our lives and families. Thus, for August 2024, we are praying to secure a wall of defence for ourselves and our family.

Prayer Points I

1. Let us appreciate God for August 2023 for His hand of favour that granted us favour in the sight of individuals and institutions in 2023, in the name of Jesus Christ.
2. Let us begin to commit August 2024 into the hands of God, asking Him to establish the wall of defence around our lives and families all through 2024, in the name of Jesus Christ (Jeremiah 15:20-21)
3. Father, we declare and prophesy that throughout 2024, our wall of defence shall stand strong and firm around us and members of our family, safeguarding us against spiritual warfare and demonic attacks, in Jesus’ name (Jeremiah 15:20-21)
4. Father, we declare and prophesy that throughout 2024, we shall walk in the confidence of the wall of defence that You have made, and we shall never submit or surrender to the power of the enemy, in Jesus’ name (Jeremiah 1:18-19)
5. Father, we declare and prophesy that throughout 2024, we shall remain invincible, walking in dominion and authority through God’s backing and wall of defence around us and everything connected to us, in Jesus’ name (Jeremiah 1:18-19)
6. Father, we declare and prophesy that throughout 2024, the wall of defence around our lives shall prevail against all enemies’ attacks, turning curses into blessings, putting the enemies to shame, clothing them with disgrace and causing us to rejoice, in Jesus’ name (Psalms 109:28-29)

Prayer Points II

1. We declare and prophesy that throughout 2024, through God’s wall of defence and backing, we shall continue to build and prosper under the leadership of the Holy Spirit, and we shall complete all projects, assignments, visions, dreams, and contracts allocated to us by God through individuals and institutions, in Jesus’ name (Ezra 6:14)
2. Father, we declare and prophesy that throughout 2024, Your investment in our lives shall not be wasted. We shall not be found wanting in Your sight, but we shall be fruitful and productive, bringing glory to Your name in all our activities, in Jesus’ name (Isaiah 5:2,5)
3. Father, we declare and prophesy that throughout 2024, we shall not take for granted Your faithfulness and kindness in giving us a wall of defence, and granting us a new season of life to rebuild, repair, and serve Your purpose in the new year, in Jesus’ name (Ezra 9:9)
4. We declare and prophesy that throughout 2024, our Redeemer shall stand strong behind us and shall vigorously defend our cause, to bring rest to our families, marriages, businesses, ministries, and cities, but His sword shall continually be against the wicked, in Jesus’ name (Jeremiah 50:34-35)
5. We declare and prophesy that throughout 2024, through God’s wall of defence, the wicked shall be paid back for their wickedness, and they shall pay for the violence done to us, and our relatives, in the name of Jesus Christ (Jeremiah 51:34-36)
6. Father, we declare and prophesy that throughout 2024, our wall of defence shall succeed against satanic plots and schemes, and we shall not be a victim of the blazing furnace of the wicked, in the name of Jesus Christ (Daniel 3:16-18)
