Prayer Points for April 2023

Ezra 8:22

Ezra 8:22 (NLT) “For I was ashamed to ask the king for soldiers and horsemen to accompany us and protect us from enemies along the way. After all, we had told the king, “Our God’s hand of protection is on all who worship him, but his fierce anger rages against those who abandon him.” 23. So, we fasted and earnestly prayed that our God would take care of us, and he heard our prayer.”

God’s Hand of Protection

There is a God’s hand of protection, that secures His people from evil and the activities of the enemy. God’s hand of protection protects better than thousands of king’s soldiers and horsemen. We will always need His hand of protection everyday of our lives.

God is more than enough to protect, defend, and preserve, those who trust in His protective hand. The devil may roam about, roaring like a lion, seeking whom to devour, but the Lord our God neither sleeps nor slumbers, so anything in His hand is secured.  This is what Jesus said, about the people under the protective hand of God, “My Father, who has given [them] to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand, (John 10:29).

God is greater than all, so no one can snatch anything from His protective hand. Whatever is committed into the protective hand of God is secured, untouchable, and unstoppable by the enemy.

However, coming under the protective hand of God, means more than security from evil, it includes enjoying God’s affectionate attention and care. God takes care of us when we come under His protective hand. Ezra said, we fasted and earnestly prayed that our God would care for us, and He heard our prayer. God has not stopped accepting and responding to requests for protection for His people.

For this reason, we are entreating and engaging the hand of the Lord for protection for April, and the whole of 2023.

Prayer Points I

1. Let us begin to appreciate God for April 2022, for His faithfulness and goodness towards us and our family, in Jesus’ name.
2. Let us begin to commit April 2023 into the hand the of the Lord, entreating the working and manifestation of His protective hand over our lives and families, in Jesus’ name.
3. Let us declare and prophesy, that in 2023, we shall not be victims of those who possess the power to harm and oppress. Through the protective hand of the Lord, we shall escape the evil plots and agenda of the wicked, in Jesus’ name, (Genesis 31:29).
4. Let us declare and prophesy, that in 2023, the protective hand of the Lord shall overturn and overthrow the wicked in their wickedness, and hang them on the gallows prepared against us and our families, in Jesus’ name (Esther 79-10).
5. Let us declare and prophesy, that in 2023 by the protective hand of the Lord, the counsel of the conspirators against us, our spouses, and children shall be turned into foolishness, in Jesus’ name, (2 Samuel 15:31).
6. Let us declare and prophesy, that in 2023 the protective hedge of the Lord shall remain unbroken and strong around us, around our household, and around all that we have on every side; and we shall remain untouchable for the devil and his agents, in Jesus’ name (Job 1:10).

Prayer Points II

1. Let us declare and prophesy, that throughout 2023, by the protective hand of the Lord, the work of our hands shall be blessed, our possession shall increase in the land of our nativity and the land of our dwelling, in Jesus’ name (Job 1:10)
2. Let us declare and prophesy, that throughout 2023 the Lord shall be a protective wall of fire around us, and shall be the glory inside our household, in the name of Jesus Christ (Zechariah 2:5 NLT)
3. Let us declare and prophesy, that the Lord shall watch over us, and the Lord shall stand beside us, all through 2023 as our protective shade. The sun shall not harm us by day nor the moon by the night, in Jesus’’ name (Psalms 121:5-8 NLT)
4. Let us declare and prophesy, that throughout 2023 the Lord shall be protective of us, and members of our family; He shall be an enemy to our enemies, and shall oppose those who oppose us, in Jesus’ name (Exodus 23:22).
5. Let us declare and prophesy, that throughout 2023, the protective hand of the Lord shall secure us and our household from all sickness, and we shall not suffer from the terrible diseases known around the world, in Jesus’ name (Deuteronomy 7:15)
6. Let us declare and prophesy, that throughout 2023, we shall remain hidden in the shadow of His protective hand, and we shall be like a sharp arrow, in His quiver, useful for His purpose, and our strength shall not be spent in vain, in Jesus’ name, (Isaiah 49:2-4 NLT).
