1 Chronicles 28:19 NKJV

(1Ch 28:19 NKJV) “All [this],” [said David], “the LORD made me understand in writing, by [His] hand upon me, all the works of these plans.”

God’s Hand of Understanding

David had a desire to build a house for the Lord, and God gave him the details of the house in writing. Probably, the detail was beyond David’s comprehension, so God came to his aid, by giving him understanding. Observe how David came to understand what God revealed to him. He said, “the LORD made me understand in writing, by His hand upon me, all the works of these plans.”

David’s ability to understand the spiritual dimension of the plan, was attributed to the operation of the hand of God. There is God’s hand of understanding, that facilitates the understanding of spiritual things.  People like Joseph and Daniel operated under God’s hand of understanding, to bring interpretation to dreams and visions, explain riddles, and solve difficult problems.

Where there is no understanding, confusion rules the day, people are destroyed, purposes are abused, and plans are aborted. However, if we bank on intellectual or natural understanding alone, we shall be disappointed. We need a higher dimension of understanding, that is only available in Christ, and accessible through the operation of God’s hand.

Therefore, we are entreating God’s hand of understanding specifically for December, and generally for 2023. Let God’s hand rest upon us, granting us understanding required for dominion in 2023.

Prayer Points I

1. Let us begin to appreciate God for December 2022, for His marvellous deeds in our lives, families, offices, communities, cities, countries, and continents, in Jesus’ name.
2. Let us begin to commit December 2023 into the hand of the Lord, inviting Him to assume His place, as the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning, and the ending, in Jesus’ name.
3. Let us declare and prophesy, that the hand of the Lord is upon us for wisdom and understanding, for counsel and might, knowledge and the fear of the Lord, resulting in quick understanding in the fear of the Lord, and helping us to make sound and goldy decisions in 2023, in Jesus’ name (Isaiah 11:1-3)
4. Let us declare and prophesy, that in 2023, we shall not be foolish in our walk with God, we shall continue to grow in the knowledge of God, not yielding to wine, but to the influence of God’s hand of understanding, increasing in wisdom doing good, and excelling in righteousness, in Jesus’ name (Jeremiah 4:22)
5. Let us declare and prophesy, that in 2023, God’s hand of understanding shall rest upon us, causing us to excel in our vocations, businesses, ministries, and marriages by His power, established in our fields by wisdom, and expanding the same by understanding, in Jesus’ name (Jeremiah 51:15)
6. Let us declare and prophesy, that in 2023, by the operation of God’s hand of understanding, we shall understand the times, and know what we ought to do in time and on time, giving us a hedge over our colleagues and competitors in our fields and industry, in Jesus’ name (1 Chronicles 12:32).

Prayer Points II

1. Let us declare and prophesy, that in 2023, through the working of God’s hand of understanding, we shall understand the things that pertain to God, His kingdom, His word and His ways, and we shall be strong and do great exploit in 2023, in Jesus’ name (Daniel 11:32)
2. Let us declare and prophesy, that throughout 2023, by the operation of God’s hand of understanding, we shall not reject knowledge, and we shall not be rejected; we shall not forget God’s word, and we shall not be forgotten. We shall be open to vital knowledge, sanctified understanding, and godly wisdom, exempting us from destruction in the world, in Jesus’ name (Hosea 4:6)
3. Let us declare and prophesy, that throughout 2023 by the working of God’s hand of understanding, we shall enjoy access to winning wisdom, unparallel understanding, relevant knowledge, and we shall be relevant in our field of endeavour, in Jesus’ name (Exodus 31:1-3)
4. Let us declare and prophesy, that throughout 2023 by the mighty hand of God, we shall be endowed with wise and understanding heart, for record breaking performance, and uncommon breakthroughs in our field, in Jesus’ name (1 Kings 3:12)
5. Let us declare and prophesy, that throughout 2023, through the working of God’s hand of understanding, we shall continue to seek the Lord our God, and we shall understand visions of God, and excel in prosperity, in Jesus’ name (2 Chronicles 26:5-8)
6. Let us declare and prophesy, that throughout 2023, by the operation of God’s hand of understanding, we shall excel above captivity of the enemy, we shall be great and honoured, and we shall not suffer in Jesus’ name (Isaiah 5:13).
