Ezra 7:9

(Ezra 7:9 NKJV) On the first [day] of the first month he began [his] journey from Babylon, and on the first [day] of the fifth month he came to Jerusalem, according to the good hand of his God upon him.

God’s Hand of Completion 

The first glance at our text for today’s prayer, suggests protection or journey mercy. But beyond protection and journey mercy, is the testimony of completion, that he started and completed the journey. He did not give up and stop halfway, because beyond the hand of protection, there was the hand of completion at work upon him.

There is no uncompleted task with God, He has never started anything, and stopped halfway for any reason. God is the author and finisher, not only of our faith, but of everything He ever started. He does not embark on a journey, without reaching His destination. Paul said, “being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.” Whatever God starts, He will complete; and anyone that comes under His mighty hand, lives to manifest the same trait.

The Bible records, that Ezra began his journey from Babylon, from the first month, and reached his destination successfully on the fifth month, according to the good hand of his God upon him. I don’t think Ezra expected anything short of reaching his destination, because he knows with the hand of God upon him, he cannot fail.

In 2023, whatever we start we want to be able to complete it, and this will require more than a degree in project management. The only force that can make us unstoppable in our journey and assignment in life, is the force of the hand of completion. For this reason, we are entreating and engaging the hand of the Lord for the completion for May, and the whole 2023.

Prayer Points I

1. Let us begin to appreciate the Lord for May 2022, for His blessings, favour, and preservation, in Jesus’ name.
2. Let us begin to commit May 2023, into the hand of God, declaring we will not stop halfway in our journey, for reasons of accident, incident, harassment, embarrassment, depression, oppression, debt, or death, in Jesus’ name.
3. Let us declare and prophesy, that in 2023, by the mighty hand of the Lord, we shall enjoy continual renewal of strength, we shall mount up with wings like eagles, we shall run and not be weary, and we shall walk and not faint, in Jesus’ name (Isaiah 40:29-31).
4. Let us declare and prophesy, that throughout 2023, by the mighty hand of God, whatever project, or assignment we engage, in we shall also finish it, in the name of Jesus Christ (Zec. 4:9).
5. Let us declare and prophesy, that in 2023, the mighty hand of the Lord shall attract into our lives all human and material resources, all human and material assistance, needed to begin and complete every project, in the name of Jesus Christ (Ezra 5:1-2)
6. Let us declare and prophesy, that in 2023, the mighty hand of the Lord shall silence every voice assigned to discourage and hinder the progress of our project, ministry, business, or profession, in Jesus’ name (Ezra 6:7-12)
7. Let us declare and prophesy, that in 2023 the hand of God shall judge and destroy any power, that will attempt to alter, or destroy our dreams, assignments, ministries, projects, and profession from reaching their full potential, in Jesus’ name (Ezra 6:7-12).

Prayer Points II

1. Let us declare and prophesy, that in 2023, the Lord shall not leave nor forsake us, until we have finished everything we are called, ordained, and assigned to fulfil, according to His good purpose for our lives, in Jesus’ name (1 Chron 28:20).
2. Let us declare and prophesy, that in 2023 our work, business, ministry, profession, project, purpose, and plan, shall be well-ordered from the beginning, until it is finished. There shall be no abandoned project, plan, dream, profession, business, or ministry, in Jesus’ name (2 Chron 8:16)
3. Let us declare and prophesy, that in 2023, by the operation of the mighty hand of completion, time shall not work against us, we shall complete on time and to time everything we lay our hands on, in Jesus’ name (2 Chron 31:7-8)
4. Let us declare and prophesy, that in 2023, through the operation of the hand of God, we shall have sufficiency in all things, to accomplish and achieve all our dreams and aspirations, in the name of Jesus Christ (2 Chron 31:9-10)
5. Let us declare and prophesy, that in 2023 our wives, daughters, sisters, and nieces shall come to their moment of birth and shall deliver safely, by the operation of the mighty hand of the Lord, in Jesus’ name (Isaiah 66:9)
6. Let us declare and prophesy, that in 2023, our children shall not lose interest in their studies, they shall remain focused, continue their studies and complete successfully, standing out ten times better than their mates, in Jesus’ name (Daniel 1:18-20)
